Dykema’s Energy Industry Group is pleased to announce the creation of a new team that will concentrate the Firm’s experience in serving oil and gas clients, many of whom have increased their use of induced hydraulic fracturing (fracking) techniques to retrieve previously inaccessible hydrocarbons, which activity has generated a host of new and complex environmental, regulatory, litigation, legislative, financing and legal challenges.

The Dykema Fracking Team is a multi-discipline group co-chaired by John Ferroli, a member of the Firm’s Environmental Law Practice Group who specializes in litigation, and Shaun Johnson, a member of the Firm’s Government Policy & Practice Group who focuses his practice on Energy Regulatory matters.

The composition of the Fracking Team represents a broad array of the Firm’s most significant practice areas and industry groups and features high-level practitioners from eight of Dykema’s 13 offices. The team also draws upon the Firm’s more than 30 years of experience providing advice and representation to a wide variety of clients in the energy sector—including petroleum companies, power providers, and pipeline enterprises.
