Leonard Wolfe, Lansing-based member of Dykema’s Government Policy & Practice Group, will serve as a featured speaker at the 2018 National Charter Schools Conference in Austin, Texas, June 17-20, 2018.

Wolfe is co-presenting the session, “Using the Charter Model to Transform Districts: Lessons from the Front Line,” on Tuesday, June 19. The presentation will highlight how more students are attending charters that districts in places like Detroit, Flint, and New Orleans, and how that shift is forcing policymakers and educators to grapple with how to deal districts heading towards insolvency. The presentation will focus on how the charter model is being used to create policy and practice solutions for addressing these complex situations.
