Abi Gnanadesigan Named a "Top Minority Attorney in Los Angeles"

Dykema, a leading national law firm, is proud to announce that Abirami (Abi) Gnanadesigan, Los Angeles-based member in the firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group, was recognized in the Los Angeles Business Journal’sTop Minority Attorneys in Los Angeles” special section, which was published January 27, 2020. Gnanadesigan is one of only 64 attorneys in the entire Los Angeles metropolitan area to receive this recognition.

According to the Los Angeles Business Journal, its Top Minority Attorneys listing recognizes the most influential minority attorneys in Los Angeles. The publication chose attorneys who are particularly impactful and who maintain the highest professional and ethical standards. It also considered honorees’ contributions to the Los Angeles business and legal community at large.

Gnanadesigan’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and intellectual property litigation. She represents corporations, financial institutions, employers, and court-appointed receivers in a variety of litigation matters in state and federal court, and in mediation and arbitration proceedings. Gnanadesigan has extensive experience handling state and nationwide class action lawsuits on a variety of issues, including wage and hour claims, California's Unfair Competition Law, and the Consumers Legal Remedies Act.

Additionally, she is committed to giving back to the community and dedicates part of her practice each year to pro bono work. Gnanadesigan served as a law clerk for the HIV & AIDS Legal Services Alliance and has volunteered for The Alliance for Children’s Rights, Bet Tzedek, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association Domestic Violence Project.

She earned a J.D. from Loyola Law School and a B.A., with honors, from the University of Southern California.
