Associate
Amia Banks is an associate in Dykema's Lansing office. She focuses her practice on real estate, corporate, and estate planning matters.
Amia works with clients to structure and document real estate, asset, and entity acquisitions and dispositions. Her experience includes drafting and negotiating complex contracts, advising clients on affordable housing and community development programs, and conducting comprehensive due diligence.
Her practice also encompasses preparing, reviewing, and negotiating loan documents, leases, and third-party agreements to safeguard her clients’ interests. In addition, Amia assists with business formation and organizational structuring, including the preparation of shareholder agreements, operating agreements, partnership agreements, bylaws, and other transactional documents.
Committed to helping clients protect the legacies they’ve built, Amia also advises individuals and families on estate planning matters. She prepares wills, trust and marital agreements, and financial and medical powers of attorney tailored to each client’s unique goals.
