Amia A. Banks is an associate in Dykema’s Lansing office, where she focuses her practice on real estate, regulated industry, and estate planning matters.
Amia works with clients to structure and document real estate, asset, and entity acquisitions and dispositions. She has experience drafting and negotiating complex contracts and advising on affordable housing and community development programs, as well as conducting comprehensive due diligence. She also helps clients navigate legal requirements in regulated industries, ensuring compliance while supporting growth.
Her practice includes preparing, reviewing, and negotiating loan documents, leases, including purchase and sale agreements, and third-party agreements to protect clients’ interests. She provides guidance on regulatory compliance, zoning, title matters, and surveys, helping projects move forward efficiently and in full compliance with applicable laws. Additionally, Amia is dedicated to preserving the legacy her clients have worked so hard to create. She aids clients by drafting estate planning documents including wills, trust agreements, marital agreements, and financial and medical powers of attorney.
