Asel M. Lindsey serves as the Assistant Practice Group Leader of the firm’s Tax practice group. Asel is Board Certified in Tax Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and focuses her practice on transactional tax and strategic tax planning.

Asel advises on a broad range of corporate and business tax matters bringing extensive experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, taxation of flow-through entities, corporate and business restructuring transactions, estate planning and tax controversy matters. Asel represents business owners, private equity clients, family offices and individual investors and advises on a variety of issues related to middle-market transactions. She plans and structures complex business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, roll-ups, tax-deferred rollovers, tax-free reorganizations, spin-offs, and restructurings.

Working closely with high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and families with multigenerational wealth, Asel assists with succession issues, estate planning, asset protection, lifetime transfer planning, and charitable objectives. Asel also guides nonprofit organizations in obtaining and retaining tax-exempt status and provides counsel on tax issues for tax-exempt entities.

 As a member of the firm’s Dental Service Organizations (DSO) group, Asel advises on tax issues related to the formation, acquisition, and restructuring of dental service organizations and similar managed service structures. Additionally, she provides strategic counsel on compliance with the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) and serves on the firm’s CTA committee.
