Jennifer Dickey works where fast-moving technology meets legal and business risk. She counsels companies on privacy and artificial intelligence compliance, helps clients structure and negotiate technology-driven commercial arrangements, and represents them when those same issues become disputes. Jennifer immerses herself in the technology, business model, and potential risks behind each matter, giving her a practical view of how day-to-day business decisions can develop into regulatory, transactional, litigation, and reputational concerns.
Immersed in the rapidly changing privacy and AI landscape, Jennifer helps clients make sense of new legal requirements and turn them into practical business decisions. Her practice includes privacy and AI counseling as well as technology and commercial transactions involving data, digital advertising, marketing technologies, and emerging technology. She advises on privacy programs, risk assessments, data governance, vendor relationships, and AI governance. She also negotiates agreements involving data use, technology platforms, advertising services, and related privacy and security obligations.
Jennifer has developed particular experience with the privacy risks surrounding websites, mobile applications, digital advertising, and marketing technologies. She advises on tracking pixels, cookies, analytics, session replay, chat technologies, and other tools used across the digital ecosystem. Her work ranges from proactive website and application reviews to defending companies facing demand letters and litigation under the California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA), federal and state wiretap laws, and other emerging privacy theories.
Jennifer also represents companies and individuals in white collar and government investigations, financial services litigation, and complex commercial disputes. She assists clients facing government inquiries, internal investigations, regulatory scrutiny, and other sensitive matters where legal, business, and reputational risks intersect. Her financial services work includes representing financial institutions and other regulated businesses in significant commercial and consumer disputes.
