Laura Fox

Associate (Admission Pending)

Laura Fox is an associate attorney in Dykema’s Lansing office who practices in the Government Policy Practice Group. She counsels clients on legal and policy matters involving government regulation, state constitutional law, and other issues arising at the intersection of government action and the law.

Laura's practice draws on experience analyzing statutes, regulations, constitutional questions, and governmental authority, as well as a strong foundation in appellate and written advocacy.

Laura has researched government regulation, state constitutional law and drafted appellate briefs, motions for summary disposition, answers, and legal memoranda. Her experience with municipal government includes researching claims involving a city, contributing to briefs and motions, assisting with the drafting of municipal ordinances, and working with public-records requirements. She has also observed state appellate proceedings, giving her additional perspective on how courts analyze statutory and constitutional arguments. This combination of regulatory research, government experience, and appellate advocacy informs her approach to legal and policy questions involving public entities and governmental decision-making.
