Arlene Switzer Steinfield, Dallas-based senior counsel in Dykema’s Labor and Employment practice group, authored the ACC South/Central Texas Newsletter article, “Top of Mind Issues for Employers in Opening the Workplace and Returning Employees to Work.”

In the article, Steinfield examines issues for employers to consider when employees are recalled to work, including guidelines employers should follow, compensation and benefits, managing employees who refuse to return, and employer-provided personal protective equipment. Steinfield stressed the need for employer flexibility when she wrote, “Being open to new and innovate methods of managing staff will encourage employees to work productively, while being protected from unnecessary risks.”
