Joshua D. Villarreal
Associate
Josh Villarreal is an associate attorney in the firm's Litigation group, with a focus on product liability, class action defense, and complex commercial disputes. Josh advises clients on risk management, regulatory compliance, and strategic defense strategies. Josh is dedicated to understanding his clients’ businesses and motivations in an effort to craft an individual and tailored approach to resolving complex disputes.
Prior to joining Dykema, Josh practiced with a firm in Dallas where he represented individuals and businesses in a broad range of litigation, including construction litigation, commercial litigation, architect and engineer defense, and premises liability. He maintained a large docket and was able to gain experience taking and defending depositions, briefing and arguing pre-trial motions, and engaging in direct settlement negotiations.
Josh earned his law degree from Baylor Law School and his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin. During his tenure in law school, Josh received the Dean’s Academic Excellence Scholarship and served as a Technical Editor on the Baylor Law Review and as a member of the Baylor Barrister Society.
