Mark J. Makoski

Senior Attorney


Mark is a business litigator with experience in a variety of different areas including complex contract disputes, supply chain litigation, real estate litigation, and business torts.  He advises and represents clients of all sizes, ranging from publicly traded OEMs and Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers to small business owners and real estate developers.  Mark has counseled clients through all stages of litigation in both state and federal courts including trial, depositions, motion practice, and discovery.

Prior to joining Dykema, Mark gained valuable experience working for both a large multi-national law firm and a small boutique firm specializing in business and real estate litigation.  While in law school, he was an intern for United States District Court Judge Patrick J. Duggan.

Mark graduated from Notre Dame Law School, cum laude, where he was a Senior Articles Editor on the Notre Dame Journal for College and University Law.  He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting, with honors, from Michigan State University and was also a part of the Honor’s College.
