Amy L. Vandamme

Senior Counsel

Amy Vandamme is an experienced business advisor who counsels clients confronting what often appears as a maze of minefields. Using her extensive background of both in-house and law firm experience, Amy provides clear thinking and a calming voice at every juncture. She understands the challenges her clients encounter and is committed to providing quick, concise, and pragmatic guidance to help her clients achieve outcomes in line with their ultimate business objectives.

In her more than two decades of practice, Amy has represented clients facing difficult situations ranging from B2B disputes to consumer claims, from cybersecurity and data loss incidents to regulatory inquiries, foreclosures, receiverships, and everything in between. Clients rely on her ability to deliver goal-oriented counsel to boards of directors, C-suite executives, and management in varied industries, including financial services, fintech, consumer products, and manufacturing.

Amy’s practical perspective is rooted in her previous law firm experience and shaped by her in-house counsel responsibilities. Her transition from outside counsel to multiple leadership roles in a Fortune 300 law department imbued in her a greater appreciation for the impact adverse claims can have on personnel, corporate brand, reputation, market position, and budgeting, as well as the bottom line. As a result, Amy became a better business partner and advisor to her clients and their respective operating units.

Amy encourages each client to engage her as early as possible to develop a strategy and give sound, creative, and well-reasoned advice for managing a simmering situation. Clients know she quickly and capably takes charge in every matter she handles. It’s in those moments of crisis that her gift for levelheaded analysis and comprehensive thinking flourishes. Amy immediately commits to gathering the facts, asking the tough questions, analyzing the law, and formulating innovative solutions.

During an overnight technology outage that had the potential to cause significant harm to its customers, a client engaged Amy in the wee hours of the morning to contain the damage. In short order, Amy sleuthed out the technical causes, convened a multidisciplinary team to assess the scope of the problem, and implemented a rapid response plan to protect the company from unnecessary exposure, avoid unwanted publicity, and mitigate or eliminate any harm to its customers. This matter is just one example of the unrivaled level of service and commitment Amy’s clients have come to expect and respect.
